I'm

He had been traveling from far away.
Along the journey, he experienced many new things —
some joyful, some deeply sorrowful.

He began reflecting on his own life:
What is my life, really?
It had just begun. He was free.
Though his existence was small,
he was happy — content with himself and the world around him.

He wondered, What lies ahead?
Will my free existence remain?
Will I still be able to play like I used to — freely, joyfully?

Slowly, the distance to his destination grew shorter.
He was on a journey, unaware of his destination —
Where would he go?
What kind of place would it be?
What kind of companions would he meet?
He had no idea.

His home was now far behind.
He felt a pang of sorrow —
separated from his parents, his friends...
moving forward through a vast emptiness.

Gradually, a strange feeling crept over him.

Perhaps the destination was near.
He began to hear a soft sound — a kind of hum.
He felt as though his existence was about to end.
Fear gripped him.

But then he remembered what the elders had always said:
“Our purpose is to serve.”

Service — the purpose that transforms you,
purifies you,
and gives your existence a light so gentle and luminous
that it brings joy to those who witness it.

As soon as he thought of this,
his fear vanished completely.

He was now ready —
ready to serve the universe.

The destination was very close now.
A smile appeared on his lips.
His transparent body glowed even more brightly.

And then, slowly,
he fell onto the soil beside a small plant.

As he touched the earth,
the plant seemed to release a sigh of joy.
It felt as though the plant had been longing for him.

At that moment, I realized —
my existence had not ended.

In fact,
I had transformed into a green, living plant.

And just like me,
the purpose of that plant's life
was also to serve —
to serve this vast, beautiful universe.

You recognized me, didn’t you?
I am a drop of rain.
