“The Power of a True Friend”
“What should I do now?” he whispered in his heart.
For the past three months, he had been trying to earn from online
sources, but the result was still zero. In truth, he never earned much offline
either. It was on the suggestion of his friends that he decided to try online
platforms — because he had a skill.
He could write stories. And he was good at it.
Writing had always been more than just a skill — it was his hobby,
his passion. He had been writing since Class 7, when he was just a boy
with a notebook full of feelings.
Back then, he wrote for the love of words.
But now, he picked up the pen for a different reason — to earn,
to solve his life’s daily needs.
And to meet this need, he began writing stories once again — not just for
passion, but for purpose.
He created a blog to publish his stories and try to earn
from them. So far, he had shared around ten heartfelt stories
— each carrying a valuable message, deep emotions, and moral lessons.
To bring traffic, he even started making Pins on Pinterest,
hoping more people would discover and read his work.
But the traffic didn’t come.
His powerful, meaningful stories — the kind that once touched hearts —
now felt lost in the noise.
And slowly, a thought crept in:
“Has the taste of people changed?”
It feels like a loss for writing and literature — when
meaningful content fails to attract an audience, and book lovers show no
interest in original, heartfelt stories.
Yes, he wants to earn money. But more than that, his true priority is
that people read his work, feel it, and connect with it.
But every time he checks the viewer count on his blog,
and sees the low numbers…
he feels a quiet sadness in his heart.
He also tried to sell his eBooks and story PDFs on
various online platforms — but not a single buyer came.
This situation began to weigh heavily on him. He felt discouraged… even
defeated.
He started to argue with his own thoughts, questioning
his worth, doubting his dreams.
And then — in that moment of silence and sorrow —
he suddenly felt as if someone was calling him…
“Smith! Where are you, my friend?” Harry called out
loudly.
Harry was Smith’s best friend — they had done their schooling
and even their degree courses together. Their bond was strong,
built over years of friendship and shared dreams.
Harry was the son of a businessman, and after completing
his degree, he naturally joined his father’s business. He even offered Smith a
job at his dad’s office, hoping they could continue working together.
But Smith politely declined. He didn’t want to accept a job out of favor
or pity. And Harry, being a true friend, understood that.
He never pressured Smith. He respected his decision and stood by him,
silently supporting him as always.
"Nowhere, my friend... I've been trapped in the problems of
life," Smith said with a heavy voice.
"Oh, my friend," Harry replied, "you
look like a hopeless man. Is this because of the online world?"
He placed a hand on Smith’s shoulder and continued gently:
"If yes, then understand this — the online world is huge. It
takes time to stand out and grow here. So don’t be discouraged."
"One day, you'll gain popularity on this platform, and you’ll
also earn enough money from it."
Harry smiled with confidence and encouragement in his eyes.
"Thank you, Harry, for your valuable words and
encouragement," Smith said sincerely.
"So...
that means I convinced you?" Harry smiled.
"Yeah…
a little bit," Smith replied with a small smile.
"That’s
a big victory for me!" Harry said loudly, his voice filled
with joy.
