The Right Path

In the forest, it was a common habit among the animals to gather every morning, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company before heading out to search for food.
As usual, they gathered at their favourite meeting spot today.
The parrot was the first to speak.

The parrot squawked loudly, "Good morning, friends!"
"Good morning, my dear friend," the rhinoceros grunted in his deep voice.
"Friends, how are you?" the parrot screeched, "Kreeek!"
"Fine!" the monkey replied, excitedly chattering, "Kiki-Kiki!"

The rabbit looked at the monkey, his big eyes wide and shining.
"It feels like Monkey is very happy today," the rabbit said, hopping in a circle.

"Yes, I attended my friend’s wedding party last night in the neighbouring forest," said the monkey proudly.
"There was very tasty food — I really enjoyed it!"

Suddenly, the crow cawed sharply and asked,
"Enjoyed it… or ended it?"

All the animals burst into laughter!

"Shut up, Crow!" the monkey said, making his kiki-kiki sound.
"No, you shut up!" Crow snapped back. "Your yellow teeth are showing — looks like you forgot to brush!"

Again, all the animals burst into laughter!

This time, the monkey didn’t say anything — he just stared at the crow silently.

"Okay, my friends," the parrot said, changing the topic. "Today, I noticed that Deer, Fox, and Owl are missing from the meeting."

"Fox must be busy filling someone’s ears with gossip," the parrot added with a grin.

"And Owl?" asked the monkey curiously.

"He’s awake at night and sleeps during the day," the rabbit replied wisely.

"And Deer has gone to see the Swamp Deer," the rabbit added.
"Two days ago, the Swamp Deer got trapped in some tree branches and got injured while trying to escape."
"This news was brought by the Frog — he came jumping all the way to tell us!"

"Okay friends, it's time to go search for food and get back to our work," the rhinoceros grunted.

"But stay alert — it’s the rainy season, so we shouldn’t go too far," he added with concern.

"Yes, we all agree with your advice," the animals replied together.

"But I have a different opinion," said a new voice — it was Bhalu (Bear), speaking for the first time.

"What do you want to say?" the elephant asked, turning toward him curiously.

The bear paused for a moment, then said,
"We all know that the path we use daily has a big hole in it. Now that it's the rainy season, the hole gets filled with water and is not clearly visible.
For those who are unaware or new to the area, it can be very dangerous — it could cause a serious accident." "Not just for newcomers — it's dangerous for all of us," the elephant added seriously.
"So, what do you suggest, Brother Bear? Should we skip food searching and work today?"
"I think we should first fix the path," he continued with concern.
For a moment, there was silence everywhere.
Then all the animals said together,
"Bear is right — we should fix the path first!"

"Alright, my friends — then why wait? Let’s go!" said the elephant with excitement.

"Yes!" all the animals shouted loudly in agreement.
